Storytime is a database to collect and share information on oral stories and folktales.
Various information has been collected on oral stories from the University of North Carolina's School of Information and Library Sciences Storytelling classes and loaded into the database. It will grow as Storytelling classes continue and Storytellers around the world submit stories.
Please select Search Stories to search the database, either by using specific search criteria, or by a database-wide keyword search.
Kids can access a simpler search and watch videos of the stories by selecting For Kids.
Using the Submit Stories button, a Storyteller or student may submit information on a story of their choosing to add to the database.
